Flop As A Service (FAAS)A New Type of Interference
Flop As A Service (FAAS), tryptich, 15x10cm. Stockholm, 2025.
This triptych is my final response to Uzi, a Stockholm graffiti writer who has usurped my name for years. In 2025, this long-simmering conflict reached its climax. The three panels document our exchange: first, the evidence of Uzi’s flop and usurpation; second, my act of covering the piece; and finally, the application of my definitive stencil.
The artwork is only complete when these three photographs are conceptually reunited—a responsibility I now place in their hands.
Uzi von DeGlitsh.
1. The wall
The wall displayed the three states, and I later framed the photographs I made of them.
2. Letters & envelopes
A letter was sent to three entities in Stockholm. The first was sent to Gitte Ørskou at Moderna Museet, the second to Uzi via a confidential source, and the third to Lisa Giomar Hydén at Fotografiska. Each envelope contains a letter and a framed photograph.
3. Mishap — Tomik can make mistakes. Check important information.
Due to a mistake by my cat Tomik, a new updated version of the letter was promptly sent to Lisa Giomar Hydén. The initial version has been declared null and void. The second letter also includes the glove and spray-can cap used in the making as a token of my esteem, well of Tomik’s esteem.
4. The frames
Gitte, Uzi, and Lisa now each own one panel of the triptych. Everyone is happy.
5. The labels
Labels for the envelopes. Source 2 is confidential.
